First Class UNILAG Student Electrocuted to Death While Walking on Campus

Nigeria – Academic activities at the University of Lagos, has been brought to a standstill following the death of a female first class student on Tuesday.

⁠⁠ Oluchi Anekwe, a 300 Level student of the department of Accounting, died yesterday while walking with a friend.

“She was Just Walking with Her friend…There was a Spark(High Tension Wire) from one of the Poles infront of the Entrance of where she was Headed ….. It Fell on Her…..She got Electrocuted ….. We Rushed her to the Medical Centre…. Minutes Later she was Pronounced Dead,” an eye witness said.

The students on Wednesday went on rampage, saying the death of such a bright gem was avoidable.

They’ve barricaded roads and stopped traffic to and from the school.

Policemen from the Bariga and Sabo divisions were at the campus gates to contain the rampaging student.
